Romain Vicari

Biography

Romain Vicari is a contemporary artist who creates installations that combine luminous, colourful spaces with a personal universe. Constantly referencing and meditating over his cultural origins, Vicari integrates his heritage with his education and artistic context, acting as a bridge between Europe and South America. Fascinated by urban spaces, Vicari investigates both interior and exterior spaces, attempting to find the joyfulness which makes them up, acting as an archaeologist of the city. Vicari has been awarded prizes from the Palais de Tokyo and the Beaux-Arts in Paris, and has exhibited in Brazil, Germany and France.
