Annie Morris

Biography

b. 1978, London, England

Annie Morris’s multimedia work comprises collages, sculptures, and paintings made from wooden clothespins, painted postcards, and other materials. She first attracted widespread attention as an illustrator after working with Sophie Dahl on the book Man with the Dancing Eyes; since then, Morris has collaborated with fashion houses Burberry and Comme des Garçon, producing for the former a dress made from some 30,000 of her meticulously painted clothes pegs. Morris’s playful and accessible style has made her one of Britain’s most collectable young artists.
