Mohamed Bourouissa

Mohamed Bourouissa (b.1978, Algeria) has a studio and home in Paris, France. His works are a strong depiction of contemporary society focusing and highlighting the more marginalized communities and individuals of today. Part of his preparation is that he spends months emerging himself and living amongst the communities that he portrays in his art. His works belong to leading collections, including that of the LACMA, the Stedelijk Museum, the Centre Pompidou, the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Istanbul Modern, and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris.
