Stefan Tcherepnin is an American artist and musician. Tcherepnin’s approach to creating visual art is informed by his background in music composition and performance. His practice is inherently collaborative; drawing on the artist’s network of artist and musician friends, their collaborative performances oftentimes take place within Tcherepnin’s installations. Tcherepnin was awarded the 2008 NYFA fellowship in Music Composition. His work is in the collections of the FRAC Aquitaine, the Syz Collection, Geneva, among others.
